What does your Timeline look like?

I actually mapped one out highlighting some of the more memorable, sustainable, musical moments in my life using the nifty app created by Adam Behringer – Bee Docs.  It’s embedded just below if you want to take a peek.

I was sort of surprised at the various things I’ve done in my life relating to music. In fact, it seems to be such a recurring theme throughout my life, that it still may yet be something I’ll spend more time, energy and focus on in the future. I’ve always said music is a part of my DNA.

I had a great meeting today at St. Arbucks with one of the most talented musician/songwriters I’ve ever met.  He asked me some interesting questions and I didn’t necessarily have the answers I thought would just come pouring out of my mouth. Actually, I’m still thinking about them.  I did respond with words I’ve said before that go something like… “I feel like I’ve been equipped by God with so many things that I have yet to really tap into yet.”

That’s sort of sad in one way, but very cool I have so much to look forward to. Since I’m, ahem, 40 (which is the new 20), I have around 60 years left. I’m optimistic that I’ll be a centenarian. In these next 60+ years I may have left, I want to make them count. I want to finish strong.

Reflecting on the past this afternoon has helped me. I’m inspired to pull out all those lyric and melody scraps from boxes, journals and digital folders. I’m ready to create and do something wonderful with the toolbox, color palette and “applications” I’ve been given. My arsenal is stocked. I’m stoked. It’s been a great day!

I’ve got the dreams I’ve always dreamed. I’ve still got a little bit of hope left. So we’ll see what happens.

What’s in your toolbox or arsenal that you haven’t used, unpacked or unleashed yet?

Don’t you think it’s about time?
