I’ve been a big fan of Vicky Beeching since hearing her on the Vineyard UK “Hungry” album that was released in 1999.
Vicky is a genuine, anointed and talented singer/songwriter who’s just about to release a new limited edition E.P. on February 16th, and a full album titled Eternity Invades expected on April 6th. She has crafted three great new songs that will definitely find their way into my upcoming worship sets.
Being quite the “bridge-builder” on this project, VIcky employed her melodic structural engineering skills to create very memorable, “sticky” bridges on each of the songs on this E.P. These bridges are the kind you catch yourself singing in your head long after the song has finished playing.
Here’s a quick rundown of the tracks…
Track #1 // Salvation Day
Salvation Day is a high energy song celebrating the most important day in every Christ-follower’s life. Offering thanks to God for His unconditional gift of salvation, this song would be great as a service opener or even celebration after an invitation.
Once you’ve heard this song, it may be difficult to get the epic bridge out of your head:
“Here we are rescued and ransomed
Sing it out, this is our anthem
Shout it out, we’ll live forever”
Track #2 // Blessing and Honor
Blessing and Honor touches on the themes in Revelation 5, declaring the praise rising to God from every creature in heaven and earth. The song steadily builds into a soaring anthem.
“Blessing and honor, glory and power
be to Your name, be to Your name
All of the praises throughout the ages
be to Your name, be to Your name”
Track #3 // Deliverer
Deliverer is taken from 2 Corinthians 3:17 declaring our freedom and healing that exists where the spirit of God is present. It’s an encouraging song that serves as a great reminder of God’s faithfulness in transforming our lives from the old into something new and beautiful. This song is really life-giving and hope-filled.
“And your blood is enough
to break every chain…”
I highly recommend getting Vicky Beeching’s new EP that drops on February 16, 2010. You’ll be glad you did!
